Waste services continue on Heritage Day

Residents are advised that refuse collection services will continue as normal on Wednesday, 24 September, which is Heritage Day.

Residents should, however, be aware of the possibility of earlier collection or delays, as operational factors such as reduced holiday traffic could affect collection times. Residents should ensure to take their bins out by 06:30 as a precaution.

If delays do occur, residents should please take their bins out each day following the holiday until it has been emptied.

If you are affected by refuse collection delays, recycling and composting can help save space in the bin. 

Drop-off sites

All City drop-off sites will be open on Heritage Day as per public holiday operating hours.
